On August 8, Seong-Jin Cho returns to the International Piano Festival of La Roque d’Anthéron for its 46th season, appearing in a recital of   Bach, Schoenberg, Schumann, and Chopin. His last performance at the festival was in summer of 2024, where he performed works by Ravel and Liszt. 

The Wall Street Journal describes Cho as “a master who displays an impressive range of tonal nuances and remarkable technique, all executed with breathtaking panache. He has something to say and he conveys it brilliantly.” The South Korean pianist is well known and celebrated for his interpretation of the works of Frédéric Chopin, famously winning First Prize at the prestigious 2015 International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. 

The full program includes Bach: Partita No. 1 in B-flat major, BWV 825. Schoenberg: Piano Suite, Op. 25. Schumann: Carnival of Vienna, Op. 26 and Chopin: Selections of Waltzes.
