Duo Recital Tour with Augustin Hadelich

Seong-Jin Cho and violinist Augustin Hadelich join forces this November for an international duo recital tour across leading concert halls in Germany, Austria, and Spain.

The two musicians have been performing together since 2024, combining their international solo careers with a pronounced passion for chamber music. They last performed together this past summer at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall during the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland.

The duo presents a wide-ranging, emotionally charged program, featuring Johannes Brahms’s lyrical Violin Sonata No. 1 in G major, Op. 78 and Leoš Janáček’s visceral, wartime Violin Sonata, JW VII/7. The program also highlights American late-Romantic composer Amy Beach’s tender Romance for Violin and Piano, Op. 23, and concludes with Sergei Prokofiev’s virtuosic, dance-infused Violin Sonata No. 2 in D major, Op. 94bis.

The four-city tour opens on November 9 at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, followed by the Wiener Konzerthaus on November 11. Cho and Hadelich then travel to Spain for performances presented by the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical on November 13, and L’Auditori Barcelona on November 14.
