Seong-Jin Cho joins forces with violinist Augustin Hadelich for their first joint duo recital tour, launching an artistic collaboration across prominent international summer festivals before continuing to major European concert halls this fall.

The duo presents a wide-ranging program spanning four distinct aesthetic realms, balancing intimate late-Romantic lyricism with 20th-century modernist intensity. The repertoire features Johannes Brahms’s Violin Sonata No. 1 in G major, Op. 78 alongside Leoš Janáček’s fiery Sonata for Violin and Piano, Amy Beach’s lyrical Romance for Violin and Piano, Op. 23, and Sergei Prokofiev’s virtuosic Violin Sonata No. 2 in D major, Op. 94a.

The festival tour opens in Germany at the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele in the Ordenssaal of the Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg on July 4, followed by the Kissinger Sommer festival at the König Ludwig I Hall in Bad Brückenau on July 5, and the Klavier-Festival Ruhr at the Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr in Bochum on July 7. Crossing the Atlantic, the duo concludes the summer leg at the Tanglewood Music Festival, performing in Seiji Ozawa Hall in Lenox, Massachusetts, on July 9.
