On May 31, Seong-Jin Cho makes his highly anticipated solo recital debut in the Großer Saal of the Musikverein Wien.

While the pianist has previously performed at the historic hall in collaborative and orchestral settings—including his acclaimed, last-minute 2022 substitution with the Vienna Philharmonic under Yannick Nézet-Séguin—this performance marks his official solo recital debut on the Musikverein’s main stage.

Cho’s recital program features J.S. Bach’s Partita No. 1 in B-flat major, BWV 825, Arnold Schoenberg’s Suite for Piano, Op. 25, and Robert Schumann’s Faschingsschwank aus Wien, Op. 26, followed by an all-Chopin second half devoted to the composer’s Waltzes.

The recital begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Großer Saal.
