Seong-Jin Cho performs a solo recital in the Main Hall (Grote Zaal) of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam as part of the venue’s renowned Great Pianists (Grote Pianisten) series on March 8.

The recital marks a celebrated return for the pianist, who last appeared at the venue in 2024 performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra under the baton of Santtu-Matias Rouvali. Formerly known as Meesterpianisten, the Concertgebouw’s Great Pianists series is internationally revered for its legendary acoustic setting and century-long tradition of presenting the world’s leading keyboard virtuosos.

Cho’s recital program highlights his acclaimed interpretations of Chopin’s Waltzes, paired alongside J.S. Bach’s Partita No. 1 in B-flat major, BWV 825, Arnold Schoenberg’s Suite for Piano, Op. 25, and Robert Schumann’s Faschingsschwank aus Wien, Op. 26.
