Seong-Jin Cho In Chamber And Duo Recital At LSO St Luke’s

As part of his Artist Portrait series with the London Symphony Orchestra, pianist Seong-Jin Cho presents two distinct chamber programs at LSO St Luke’s in London on February 13.

The afternoon performance features an intimate collaboration with LSO Principals, exploring contrasting worlds of shadows and romantic fervor in Donghoon Shin’s My Shadow and Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25. For the evening concert, Cho reunites with fellow pianist and longtime friend Sunwook Kim for an expressive four-hands program. Their duo lineup includes Mozart’s Sonata for Piano Four-Hands in F major, K. 497, a selection of Wolfgang Rihm’s Mehrere kurze Walzer, and Schubert’s monumental Fantasie in F minor, D. 940.

Both concerts take place in Jerwood Hall, with the chamber program beginning at 1:00 p.m. and the piano duo recital following at 6:00 p.m.

Watch Cho perform Chopin’s Waltz in E minor, Op. posth. at LSO St Luke’s.
