Seong-Jin Cho brings his lauded interpretation of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Minor to the Cleveland Orchestra on March 6 – 9.  The jazz-inspired Piano Concerto is a valued part of Cho’s repertoire, which also features on his latest album, Ravel: The Piano Concertos, recorded with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Andris Nelsons for Deutsche Grammophon. Of a recent performance of the piece, the Boston Musical Intelligencer remarked that “Cho coupled magisterial passage work with tender phrasing that caught the shape of Ravel’s irregular melodies.”

The program, led by conductor Franz Welser-Möst, will also feature Ravel’s fiery Rapsodie espagnole and Tchaikovsky’s lyrical Symphony No. 4.
