Ravel and Liszt in Recital

Seong-Jin Cho brings his 2023-24 season to a close with a trio of summer recitals at world-renowned festivals. This month, he will enchant audiences at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy, the International Piano Festival of La Roque d’Anthéron, and the Edinburgh International Festival.

Showcasing the brilliance of Ravel and Liszt, Cho’s programmes offer a captivating musical journey. Highlights include Ravel’s ethereal Sonatine and the sophisticated Valses nobles et sentimentales, a nod to Schubert’s melodic genius. Liszt’s Années de pèlerinage: Italie, inspired by Italy’s rich artistic heritage, forms the dramatic centrepiece, showcasing Liszt’s virtuosity and visionary spirit.
