Seong-Jin Cho begins a West Coast tour this month, playing recitals in Santa Barbara, La Jolla and Aliso Viejo and concerts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and conductor Zubin Mehta. His recital program includes a rich and varied musical experience, featuring works that span different eras and styles, from the classical elegance of Haydn and Mozart to the impressionistic and virtuosic elements of Ravel and Liszt.
Marking his fifth appearance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the program features the expressive richness of Schumann’s Piano Concerto and the expansive, symphonic world of Mahler’s “Titan” Symphony, enriched by the inclusion of the “Blumine” movement. Zubin Mehta conducts.
